OPPORTUNITY LOST

United's six-point deficit behind St. Mirren remains and although one point was gained this was a six-pointer they should have won against a St. Mirren team which played with only ten men for nearly an hour.

"We had the game won, we were comfortable and then we let in a bad goal," said Alex Smith after the match. "The opportunity was there but their goalkeeper made a couple of marvellous saves."
