'HAMMY' AND LILLEY TO LINK IN ATTACK

22nd December 2000

Striker Jim Hamilton will be handed a starting berth against Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday after it was confirmed Beto Naveda will definitely miss out because of a twisted knee.

Hamilton will partner new signing Derek Lilley in attack as boss Alex Smith looks for the team to build on the good work they put in when they earned a draw with Rangers on Sunday.

"Jim has got his enthusiasm back and that is why he is part of the group again. For a while it was looking like he didn't have a future here, but he has changed that by working hard," said Alex on Friday. "He will get his chance tomorrow and although Tynecastle is always a hard place to go to, we will head there boosted by the performance against Rangers and looking for a result."

Craig Easton is likely to return to midfield as Alex shuffles his pack to cover Jim Lauchlan's absence through suspension.

Please note that the Ticket Office in Tannadice Street will be open on Saturday 23 December 2000 from 9.00am - 12.00 noon.
