WEATHER AFFECTS TRAINING

15th January 2001

With frosty conditions affecting training routines, the entire playing staff had to split into two groups to accommodate.

One squad has been sweating it out on the beach, while the other spent half of the double session indoors. "We have been slightly restricted due to the weather but I must emphasise that I have no regrets about staying at home rather than heading off to sunnier climes," added Smith. "I do feel that staying at home will benefit the players right now."
