‘TON AND LOONS GET UNITED HELP

5th January 2001

United have ensured three of their promising youngsters stay match-fit and pick up top team experience during the winter break by loaning them out. On Friday the Club helped out troubled First Division outfit Morton by lending them the services of midfielder Kevin McDonald and striker Stephen McConalogue for a month. Front man David Winters, who took his first team bow against Celtic recently, will also be on the move for a month after he was fixed up by Second Division Forfar. Manager Alex Smith believes all three have big futures at Tannadice and involvement at first team level elsewhere over the next few weeks will help their progress.
