Manager Alex Smith has taken time out from his SFA Coaching school stint at Largs to see to a few outstanding matters at Tannadice.
Alex was locked in talks well into Tuesday night over issues concerning his own future as well as three of his playing staff.
The gaffer is close to an agreement on a contract which will make his managerial post more official than the 'gentlemen's handshake' arrangement at present.
Talks with 'keeper Paul Gallacher, midfielder Craig Easton, and injury comeback man Jamie Fullarton also seem to have been ongoing without any signs of a hitch. Easton's current contract does not expire until October, but Gallacher and Fullarton require to have their futures settled more imminently.
Spokesman Niall Scott confirmed, "Talks are continuing, and matters are progressing."
