DEBUT NEARS FOR DAVID

18th May 2001

Rising star David Winters could get his first start when the curtain comes down on an eventful season with Sunday's visit to Aberdeen.

The 19-year-old, who is on the verge of signing a new three-year contract, is a likely replacement for Derek Lilley. Along with skipper Jason de Vos, Lilley is set to sit this one out because they are a single disciplinary point away from suspension.

Missing on Sunday will be defender David Partridge after he went down with a virus and his place will be taken by fit-again Hasney Aljofree.

As expected, long-term injury absentees Jim Paterson and Jamie Fullarton will be in the squad and, should all go well, they will come off the bench to see some action.
