United have responded to speculation that the Club will meet Dundee FC, local council and enterprise chiefs for talks that could lead to a shared 30,000-seater stadium on Tayside which would allow the city to be part of Scotland's Euro 2008 bid.
United spokesman Niall Scott said the Club is anxious to boost Scottish chances of landing the finals. He said: "We are keen to look at proposals that would benefit United, our fans, the City of Discovery and Scottish football in general. "It must be stressed, however, that these are only preliminary discussions and no decision can be made until the idea has been looked at and debated."
