Goalkeeper Paul Gallacher is set to sign a new three-year contract when he reports back for pre-season training at the end of the month.
Back at his desk on Wednesday, boss Alex Smith revealed a deal to keep the under-21 international at Tannadice has been all but agreed. "Paul is away on holiday at the moment and that is really the only reason why he has not signed, but it looks like he will when we are all report back for training in a couple of weeks," he said.
Negotiations are also continuing with Craig Easton and while they may take slightly longer, Alex is also confident of the midfielder staying on. "Like Paul, we've been talking to Craig about a three-year deal, but he is keener on two at the moment. I don't see it as a big problem and seeing as his contract is not up until October we have time to sort things out."
