PATON LEAVES TANNADICE

The Club announces today that Paul Paton leaves Dundee United by mutual agreement. Paul, who signed on 1 June 2013, started 90 times for the Club and made five substitute appearances. He played in the 2014 Scottish Cup Final as well as the 2015 League Cup Final scoring a total of six goals in his time at Tannadice. A stalwart of the side, he led out the team as on-field captain in the final third of last season. A spokesperson for Dundee United said: “We would like to thank Paul for his outstanding service to the Club and wish him all the very best for his future.” Paul Paton said: “I would like to thank the supporters and everybody at Tannadice for my time at the Club. There will always be a tangerine spot in my heart and I wish Dundee United every success in returning to the Scottish Premiership next season.”
