United will field a near full-strength side in their friendly at the Balmoor Stadium in Peterhead tomorrow night
The first team only arrived back today from a three matches in seven days tour in Holland and Germany during which they won both games against Dutch opposition and yesterday drew 1-1 draw with German side Allemania Aachen but manager Alex Smith is keen that his players keep up the pace in the run-up to Saturday's match against Dundee.
"We are building things up nicely and I want as many of our first choice guys involved up north as possible." he said.
Lining up for the Tangerines will be Jason de Vos, who missed Saturday's draw with Allemania Aachen because of a bout of flu.
"Jason will definitely play from the start and I would also hope to get Steven Thompson involved at some stage. "He was very unlucky on the trip with an ankle injury restricting him to just seven minutes but I have not given up hope of having him available for the Dundee game."
If Thompson does miss the Peterhead match it is hoped he will get 90 minutes at Arbroath on Tuesday.
Boss Alex Smith, meanwhile, has confirmed midfielder Craig Easton will miss the league opener against Dundee on Saturday through suspension.
