Manager Alex Smith revealed on Monday that United are now in a situation where it would be wise to seriously consider any offers for skipper Jason de Vos.
Dismissing weekend reports that English side Wigan Athletic had made an approach, Alex did add that de Vos has indicated that he does not wish to extend his time at Tannadice beyond his current contract, which has one and-a-half years left. "He feels it would be better if he moved on then and from our point of view that means if an opportunity to sell him was to arise, it may be worth considering," said Alex from the team training camp in Holland.
