Manager Alex Smith confirmed on Thursday that defender Jason de Vos could be just hours away from the end of his United career.
Wigan have been strongly linked with the big Canadian, though for the moment United have only said they have been in talks with a English club and a deal could be reached soon.
''There are just one or two wee things to be sorted and once that has happened it will be a case of Jason speaking to them and taking things from there,'' said Alex.
