MCINTYRE’S EURO AMBITION

United new boy Jim McIntyre hasn’t taken long to be impressed by the quality of the squad that Alex Smith has assembled at Tannadice and believes there is no reason why the Tangerines cannot go on and clinch a UEFA Cup place in the coming season. Speaking earlier today Jim said, “I think we’ve got to look for a place in Europe because apart from Rangers and Celtic I don’t think there is a lot between the rest of the clubs. It’s about who gets off to a good start and then take it from there.” “Dundee United used to have a great reputation in Europe and I’m sure the fans would love to see it again so I think that’s got to be our aim.”
