William Edjenguélé described his two-year extension as 'an easy decision' as he lavished praise on the Club, its supporters and the Dundee area on Tuesday morning.
William said, "I have been talking to the manager and the chairman for a few months about a new deal. I have to thank the Chairman because he made a real effort to keep me here.
"I am getting married in the summer, and it will be fun to start married life with a little bit of security but mostly, I am happy in this area, and I like the Club.
William has been enjoying almost every aspect of his career at Tannadice, and when asked what the deciding factors were, he said: "It is a massive Club with tremendous support, and the team plays the type of football I want to play. I also want to play my part in taking the Club back into the top flight."
Despite living all over Europe in his career, William gave special praise to the Dundee area confirming he sees it as the ideal place for his family to reside after his marriage.
"I have experienced in the past that the grass is not always greener and having been here seven months, I know the area, so it was a question of am I happy? Can my family be happy? The answer to both is yes, so I am delighted to sign an extension." said William.
