The Dundee United in Memories Display has shifted focus over the last week and is now featuring the Jerry Kerr era.
A club sitting in 35th place out of 37 in the Scottish Leagues was, within seven years, transformed into a much respected institution with a modern ground and players capable of not only qualifying for European Competition but of taking on and beating Barcelona and Juventus. United also appeared for the first time in their history in both League Cup and Scottish Cup semi finals and received invitations to tour the world representing Scottish Football and of course the proud City of Dundee. All this and much more can be attributed to the appointment in July 1959 of John (Jerry) Kerr as Manager of Dundee United.
Come along to this new display containing many items for the first time showcasing the work of the magician that was Jerry Kerr and of some wonderful players who entertained Scottish football fans throughout the 1960s. The display is open each Wednesday from 1pm till 3.45pm. Entry is free via the main door at Tannadice Park with easy disabled access.
