ABERDEEN MATCH TEAM NEWS

14th September 2001

There was mixed news on the fitness front this morning, with striker Derek Lilley now recovered from a poisoned toe but Jim Paterson finally ruled out because of illness.

The Under-21 star will be at the doctor again next week in a bid to get to the bottom of the problem that has now been affecting him for a fortnight. Also still missing will be injured trio Jamie Fullarton, David Hannah and Ronnie O'Brien but there was at least some good news concerning the progress being made by the last two.

"Hannah is still going to be out for a few weeks, but his knee is responding very well to treatment and we might get him back a bit sooner than we expected," explained Alex. "As for Ronnie, he will not make the Aberdeen game but we are hopeful that he will be able to play for the Under-21s against Celtic at New Broomfield on Monday afternoon."
