In amongst all the new players and staff nipping into Tannadice to sign contracts, we had a rather special guest visit the Club on Thursday.

Agustin Mervic is an 18-year-old Argentinian who came across Scottish football on the internet several years ago and while exploring the teams, he became fascinated by the colour and history of Dundee United. His passion grew, and he started up a supporters' club and then created a twitter account and Instagram page so he could interact with fellow United fans and the Club.

United fans have long had an affinity with Argentina going back to Damián Casalinuovo's time at the Club in the Scottish Cup-winning season and indeed before this during the Walter Rojas era, and he was immediately taken to our hearts.

United fan Ken McPherson and his wife Alison were travelling to Buenos Aires in January and arranged to meet Agustin, and the visit sealed his love for United.

Fast-forward to this week and Agustin travelled over to Dundee with his aunt Estela to visit Tannadice - and they both had a fantastic time. They were greeted at the front door and presented with a new Dundee United home kit and training top and then enjoyed a tour of the stadium in the safe hands of DUBC's Tom Cairns.

The guys were also delighted with take-home certificates for a tunnel brick and the promise to return to see their tiles in the flesh one day!

Agustin's knowledge of United is fantastic, and his love of United is endearing, and the guys at the Club enjoyed meeting our Argentinian visitors and look forward to welcoming them back.
