A familiar face to United fans may be seen in Dundee's colours the next time the two city clubs meet when it was announced that the Dark Blues have signed former United striker Beto Naveda on a three-month contract.
Beto signed for United on 3 November 2000 and made his debut the following day at Fir Park against Motherwell after impressing while playing as a trialist for the Under-21s. On 15 May 2001 Manager Alex Smith announced that Beto would not be offered a new contract with United.
Since leaving Tannadice Beto returned to Argentina and has been a free agent ever since.
