Former United manager Paul Sturrock today confirmed that he has not made a move for winger Neil Heaney, who was one of his last signings before he left Tannadice.
Reports have claimed that Paul had made enquiries about taking the former Southampton player back to the south coast. In fact no such moves have taken place.
"I think this is a case of people adding two and two. I am looking for someone in that position and, because I signed Neil for United, it was obvious there would be speculation," said Paul today. "While I wouldn't rule anything out at this point, there has been no contact."
