Ronnie O'Brien's bad luck has struck again. The loan signing from Juventus was expected to make his United debut at Livingston on Saturday but has been ruled out after a training mishap.
The highly-rated 22-year-old, whose hopes of facing Kilmarnock two weeks ago were dashed when international clearance failed to come through in time, picked up a leg knock in an accidental clash with team-mate Derek Lilley.
"It's a nightmare for the boy, but we are at least hopeful he will be able to play for the under-21s against Aberdeen on Monday," revealed boss Alex Smith.
Also ruled out of the Livi trip are Jamie Fullarton, who has now consulted a specialist over his groin problem, and Jim Paterson. His throat infection has not completely cleared, so he will not be risked.
