UNITED’S SCOTLAND CONTRIBUTION CONTINUES

1st September 2001

Although there were no current United players in the Scotland team which met Croatia today at Hampden Park in a game which finished 0-0 Dundee United's contribution was still evident. Former United star Christian Dailly played for the full ninety minutes and Kevin Gallacher, another product of the Dundee United Youth Development, was an unused substitute and therefore did not add to his 53 full caps, one of only 23 Scots to be included in the SFA’s Hall of Fame. In the Scotland Under-21 team which drew 1-1 with their Croatian counterparts at McDiarmid Park last night United were represented by Jamie McCunnie who played for 85 minutes, Craig Easton who played the full ninety and Jim Paterson who came on after 62 minutes.
