Influential midfielder Charlie Miller is back in training, and on Thursday afternoon had not yet been ruled out of Saturday's SPL visit to Celtic. The ex-Ranger had to be withdrawn during the first half of last weekend's win over Hibs at Tannadice after sustaining a 'dead leg.' Although Miller was sidelined for much of the week, his return to the training pitch has raised hopes of him being fit in time to face his former Old Firm rivals.
Boss Alex Smith said, "Charlie is running much better now so we're keeping our fingers crossed, however, there's still a wee doubt over whether he can make the Celtic game". With Dave Hannah having performed so well as Miller's replacement last week, and with the other vice-captain Jim Lauchlan now free of suspension, the manager faces yet another selection dilemma for this one. Smith added, "Dave Hannah deserves a starting jersey after doing so well against Hibs. Our back four did very well too, so I've got to make a decision on whether to bring Jim Lauchlan back in - that said, he's a very important player for us, so there's no doubt he'll be involved."
