Boss Alex Smith remains hopeful that midfield ace Charlie Miller will make Saturday's SPL trip to Celtic Park. The former Rangers star sustained a 'dead leg' in the early stages of the weekend win over Hibernian at Tannadice, and had to be withdrawn. But although he's been unable to train so far, his manager is keeping his fingers crossed that he'll be back on track by the end of the week. Said Smith, "Charlie is still in a bit of discomfort and his leg has not eased up yet. But I would say the injury is not as bad as it could have been, and it looks like he'll be ok for Saturday."
Defender David Partridge also took a knock during the Hibs game, but in true 'Parto spirit', he too is set to shrug it off before long. "There's little doubt that David will make sure he's ready to face Celtic," added Smith. "As everyone knows, Parto could have been away to Plymouth earlier this season, but since that fell through he has shown a terrific attitude. He's learning fast on aspects of his game which require improvement and his whole-hearted approach is typical of the squad right now."
