Celtic youngster Marc Cocozza was United's central defensive trialist in Monday night's Under-21 League defeat at Dunfermline. United boss Alex Smith is keen to place the ex-schoolboy cap under the microscope in a trial spin at Tannadice.
Said Smith, "Marc did all right in the game, sufficiently well that I plan to assess him further during a guest spell with us. "I remembered him as a member of the Scotland Under-20 squad at the Milk Cup tournament in Ireland last year."
