We can confirm that two of our young players, Adam Hutchinson and Ruairidh Adams, are heading out on loan.

Our Academy graduate Adam is joining University of Stirling, while Ruairidh is moving to Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale F.C., both until January.

Defender Adam joined the club when he was ten years old and can now get regular game time under his belt before returning in the New Year, while goalkeeper Ruairidh, who arrived at Tannadice in March, will get to experience the challenge of competing for the number one jersey in a first-team environment.

Head of Player Pathway and Loans, Brian Grant said: "Adam has had a fantastic number of years with the Under-18s but with him now aged out, and there not being a regular games programme for him, we felt it was important for him to head out and get minutes.

"University of Stirling have a reputation for bedding in young players and this should help Adam make the transition from academy to first-team even more seamless. He'll also face a tough challenge in the Lowland League with the amount of competition in it this season."

"While Ruairidh would still be eligible for the Under-18s this season, we felt it was better for his development to go and play men's football and challenge for the number one shirt.

"We also have a strong link with Hutchison Vale, the club Ruairidh was at prior to joining us, so we know he is going into an environment he has experience in and will get the best out of him."

We wish Adam and Ruairidh the best of luck on their loans and look forward to their return.
