Andy Goldie added: “I’m hugely grateful to Dundee United for everything they have done for me personally.
“By me moving on, it doesn’t effect anything in this academy.
“It will still be the crown jewel of this club and whoever comes in will be able to take it to another level again.
“That’s a great credit not only to the Academy staff but to the Chairman Mark Ogren who has really backed us.
“He has put the academy front and centre of the club’s strategy.
“I’ve had tremendous backing from the Sporting Director Tony Asghar too.
“He has given me the autonomy and the support to develop an academy that the club, players, parents and fans can be proud of.
“It’s an exciting opportunity at Swansea City that I’ve accepted to become their new Academy Manager.
“It’s a big commitment but is the right opportunity, at the right time for me to move onto the next step of my own career.”
