TONY WATT APPEAL SUCCESSFUL

Dundee United can confirm Tony Watt will be available for Saturday’s trip to Celtic Park after a successful appeal of his red card in last Saturday's fixture v Motherwell.

Following a fast-track Scottish FA hearing, the sending off Tony received has been rescinded and replaced with a caution. 

Tony was dismissed after a VAR review of his 40th minute challenge with Sean Goss.

At the time, it was interpreted that Tony has been guilty of Serious Foul Play but this has been downgraded to a caution under the offence ‘Reckless tackles or challenges an opponent.’
