Dundee United are thrilled by the news that Aziz Behich has been selected in Australia’s squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar
This will be the third consecutive edition of the tournament Aziz has been involved in, playing all three group matches at Russia 2018 whilst part of the travelling group four years prior in Brazil.
The 31-year-old made his debut in 2012 against South Korea, going on to become a seasoned campaigner at international level with more than half a century of caps for the Socceroos.

He was part of the side which raised the AFC Asian Cup aloft in 2015 after a pulsating victory in extra time, and started in the decisive World Cup Qualifier versus Peru earlier this year where Australia held their nerve to claim a 5-4 penalty shootout victory.
Aziz has enjoyed a rich vein of form as he settles into Scottish football, scoring in wins over Aberdeen and Hibernian at Tannadice and also boasts three clean sheets throughout the 2022/23 campaign so far.
