UNITED'S INTERNATIONAL QUARTET IN ACTION THIS EVENING

17th November 2022

Four of our first-team squad are in line to represent their country this evening as a whole host of international friendlies unfold across Europe.

Archie Meekison - 7:00PM

Archie Meekison impressed on his first foray into the Scotland U21s set-up over the summer, before going on to make his debut in September, and earned another place in Scott Gemmill's squad for tonight's friendly against Iceland.

The U21s continue to ramp up preparations for their European Championship qualification campaign which starts in 2023.

You can watch Archie at Fir Park this evening, with free entry at the stadium or live coverage on BBC iPlayer.

Jamie McGrath 7:45PM

The midfielder has enjoyed a rich vein of form since the previous international hiatus, with four goal involvements in his last eight matches for the Terrors, and has been rewarded with a re-call to the Republic of Ireland squad.

With six caps to his name already, Jamie last pulled on the green of his homeland 12 months ago, playing over an hour in Ireland's stalemate with Portugal in the World Cup Qualifiers.

However, Steven Kenny's side failed to secure a place at the FIFA World Cup as Portugal and Serbia advanced to Qatar from Group A.

Norway travel to the Aviva Stadium for a friendly tonight which will be shown live on Sky Sports Football.

Ilmari Niskanen and Carljohan Eriksson - 5:00PM

Our Finnish contingent will look to add to their respective cap tallies as Finland clash with North Macedonia in Skopje.

Since joining the Terrors, Ilmari has been included in six 'Huuhkajat' squads, whilst Saku has represented his country at all age levels.

Unfortunately, the match will not be shown live in the UK.
