Opponent Lowdown

Hibernian have endured an inconsistent 2022/23 campaign, with nine defeats in their last league 12 matches. That run stretches back to our last meeting with Lee Johnson's side which culminated in a 1-0 win for United courtesy of an early Aziz Behich strike.

However, the Hibees claimed a much-needed victory last weekend against Motherwell, Kevin Nisbet's emphatic hat-trick the difference as the match finished 3-2 to the visitors. Aiden McGeady also impressed on his first start of the season after an injury-riddled start to life in Edinburgh.

United have only lost one of their last 12 top-flight away games at Easter Road, with our last triumph there coming in October 2021 when the Terrors dismantled a lackluster Hibs - goals coming from Nicky Clark, Ryan Edwards and Kieran Freeman.

Edinburgh-born Eamonn Bannon is our top scorer against Hibernian, finding the back of the net nine times between 1981-1985.
