We can today confirm Logan Chalmers will join Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season, subject to international clearance.
The Academy graduate, also a graduate of the SFA's Performance School programme, enjoyed a successful spell with cinch Championship outfit Ayr United during the first half of the campaign, aiding their promotion push with six-goal contributions in 12 appearances.
Capped at U17 and U21 level, Chalmers has made over 40 appearances for United's first team since signing his first professional contract in July 2016, bagging three goals against Linfield, St Johnstone U21 and Morton respectively.
The winger will now head south of the border for the first time in his career to team up with former United manager Micky Mellon, as the Rovers look to climb up the table into the play-off spots.
Too Good To Turn Down
Head of Player Pathways and Loans, Brian Grant, gave his thoughts on the 22-year-old's opportunity to further his development.
"Logan excelled during his time at Ayr United and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for him.
"However, the opportunity to test himself in a different league system at a young age was one too good to turn down and we have no doubts his loan spell with Tranmere will be a beneficial agreement for both parties.
"We wish Logan all the best for the remainder of the season and look forward to welcoming him back to Tannadice in the summer."
