The United Under-21 team put on a superb performance to defeat their city rival counterparts Dundee 4-0 this evening.
Leading at half time through a Duff goal, the young Tangerines hit another three in the second period through Thompson (pictured) twice and Charlie Miller.
This was a well deserved win for a strong looking United side that featured many of the first team squad. With Alex Smith building such a young first team playing squad, it is no surprise that so many players qualify for both first and Under-21 teams and certainly this evening, there was a gulf between the sides.
The Under-21's can now look to build in the New Year on a reasonable first half of the season.
