Dundee United Women have further strengthened their squad this week with the addition of goalkeeper Megan Sidey.
After over a decade at St Johnstone, rising through the ranks of their younger teams under the Jeanfield Girls moniker to play SWPL2 football, 21 year old Sidey heads along the A90 to work under the management of Graeme Hart.
The commanding keeper will take part in the top flight for the first time and is looking forward to the test.
“I’m delighted to get the deal over the line, the girls have been a really good bunch since I came in and have made me feel really welcomed to the club. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and I think we’ve got all of the right ambitions to improve on last season.”
Graeme Hart was thrilled to have brought in a player he admits he has kept tabs on for a while.
“We tried to sign Megan last season so has been on our radar for some time. She played against us at Tannadice for St Johnstone and was excellent. She’s tall but not only a top shot stopper and can play with the ball at her feet.”
