Graeme Hart has added to his squad this weekend with the loan signing of Brodie Greenwood from Heart of Midlothian, subject to SFA approval.
The midfielder, who has been capped for Scotland U17’s, heads to Foundation Park on a season long loan from the Jam Tarts.
Greenwood, 17, signed for Hearts in the summer and has made two appearances this season. Prior to this, she has also played senior football at Aberdeen alongside a loan spell at St Johnstone.
Speaking after her signing, the talented midfielder spoke of her eagerness to get going with her new teammates.
“I would like to say thank you to Graeme for working with Hearts to give me this opportunity to join the club, I already know a lot of the team so I’m looking forward to getting started. I liked the way United tried to play last year and they have some really good young and experienced players. My aims for the season would be to help the team to achieve their goals and on a personal level develop and learn as much as I can.”
Head Coach Graeme Hart was delighted to bring Greenwood in after tracking her progress over the last couple of years.
“Brodie is someone I’ve seen coming through the youth levels. She has been excellent to get where she is at Hearts and she’s developed even further during her time there. When I found out there was an opportunity I had discussed it with Eva and it’s a great move for all. We can’t wait to get Brodie involved.”
Brodie will be available for today‘s trip to New Douglas Park to take on Hamilton Academical.
