Dundee United are delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Tillson on a season-long loan deal from Scottish Premiership side Ross County, subject to SFA clearance.

After beginning his footballing journey with Bristol Rovers, the midfielder made the switch to Exeter City in 2012.

Tillson would make in excess of 100 appearances for the Grecians, before he headed for the Highlands to join Ross County.

He was a mainstay in the successful Staggies side of 2021/22, which secured the Dingwall outfit’s second Scottish Premiership top-six finish in their 94-year existence.

A tenacious and energetic ball-winner with an eye for a pass, Tillson continued to be a prominent figure at Victoria Park last term, turning out 30 times in all competitions.

The 30-year-old adds depth and quality to Jim Goodwin’s midfield options until the end of the 2023/24 campaign and embarks on his first training session with his new teammates this morning.

'He Will Greatly Enhance The Group'

United Manager Jim Goodwin briefly passed comment on strengthening his options in the middle of the park, saying: "We’re delighted to welcome Jordan to Tannadice.

"With more than 100 top-flight games under his belt with Ross County, he brings experience to a position in which we are slightly light at this current period of time, and we can’t afford to take any risks in that area of the pitch. We have no doubts he will greatly enhance the group."
