Dundee United reclaimed their place at the top of the cinch Championship table with a last-minute victory over Inverness CT.

Archie Meekison came closest to breaking the deadlock in the opening 45 as he struck the outside of the upright from 20 yards with Inverness stopper Mark Ridgers beaten all ends up. Declan Glass and Glenn Middleton also threatened the target for the visitors, whilst Charlie Gilmour spurned ICT's most clear-cut chance as he headed over the bar from a menacing Aaron Doran corner.

The first period also saw United lose their talisman, Louis Moult, with a groin injury.

The Terrors' woes were compounded heading into the final 20 minutes when on-loan Ross County enforcer Jordan Tillson was sent for an early bath having committed two bookable offences within the space of 240 seconds.

However, Jim Goodwin's side continued to push for the winner they knew would propel them back to the summit of the table, and deep into second-half stoppage time, the relief came.

A Middleton free-kick bounced on the six-yard line before rebounding back off the crossbar, with Declan Gallacher picking up the pieces in a congested penalty area. The Scotland international kept his composure to tee up Academy graduate Chris Mochrie, who steered home via a deflection off Caley defender Zak Delaney.
