Congratulations to Barnhill Primary School, who are the winners of our kit design competition in collaboration with Errea and Dundee United Community Trust!
With over 25% of the votes, Barnhill's quirky and abstract shirt incorporates their school colours in a striking design.
Amongst the finalists were: Ardler Primary School, Ballumbie Primary School, Barnhill Primary School, Clepington Primary School, Craigowl Primary School, Eastern Primary School, and Rosebank Primary School. Barnhill's shirt will now be brought to life by our kit manufacturer Errea!
Upon winning the competition, Philip Smith, Barnhill's Depute Head Teacher added:
“We were delighted to participate in the competition! We have a number of clubs at the school and we pride ourselves on creating opportunities for our young people to experience the joy of playing sport, both for fun and competitively."
"We opened up entries to the entire school and eventually narrowed it down to Dayton’s design, one of our Primary 7 pupils. We all love the shirt and we are really excited to see it brought to life."
We will welcome Barnhill Primary School to Tannadice in the near future to present their design at one of our home matches!
Everyone at Dundee United, Errea and DUCT would like to thank all of the schools that participated in this project. The competition has shown a true sense of spirit and reach within our local community with over 14,000 votes on the fantastic submitted designs!
