Ahead of our trip to East End Park this evening, Craig Sibbald highlighted the need for consistency and building momentum as we enter the business end of the season!

NOT JUST A CLICHÉ
Maintaining form and not becoming complacent will be key in the eyes of our midfield general, as the final eight matches approach.
“We are taking each day as it comes. It’s easy to say but it helps us remain focused and concentrated on each 3 points before moving on to the next match.”
“The morale in the group is good, we want the games to keep coming thick and fast. It's a good feeling, winning. We want to continue winning games. We also know clean sheets are massive and give us a really good foundation to go and play.
“The managers harped on that we need to get back to being difficult to beat and the last couple of games we've done that. Like I said, it's all about taking it one game at a time, being solid defensively and using our key players in the forward areas.”
THE IDEAL BLEND
In a squad blended with youthful talent and pedigree, Sibbald admits his role in the dressing room has adapted.
"The more experienced players are playing a key role in keeping everyone focused. An experienced core should serve us well as we approach the latter stages of this season.”
“I consider myself one of the more experienced players, having played a lot of games. So if I can give some of the younger boys some pointers or information then I am happy to play that role.”
After starting in our last five matches, Miller Thomson is just one of the many Academy Graduates handed an opportunity by Jim Goodwin this season.
“We also have some young talents that have been coming in and doing well, take Miller Thompson. He’s had his chance, come in and done well. He’s fast and unpredictable on the ball, which is a good option for us.”
He continues, “Winning promotion this season would be brilliant and getting Dundee United back to where they belong. That's the incentive for everybody, getting United back into the top league, and to be playing at the highest level.”
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
“It's always a tough game against Dunfermline, it's never easy. The Gaffer has said that as well.
"We’ve been working on certain aspects of the game in training and I’m sure we will see it implemented in Friday’s game plan. Hopefully, the stuff we have worked on comes off in the game and we take maximum points” Sibbald concludes.
