TONIGHT'S CUP ACTION CANCELLED

After days of virtually incessant rain, the pitch at Tannadice remains unplayable. Following a formal pitch inspection carried out earlier today, United's Tennent's Scottish Cup tie with Hamilton Academical, originally scheduled for 26th January, has been deferred yet again. The match will now be played on Monday, 4th February 2002 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
