Dundee United will begin their preparations for the 2024/25 campaign with a trip to Angus to face Highland League outfit Brechin City on Saturday 22 June.
Our last meeting with the Hedgemen saw Nicky Clark bag a hat-trick during a pre-season friendly in the summer of 2021, with Peter Pawlett also on the scoresheet at Glebe Park.
Jim Goodwin’s men take on a Brechin side that saw only a marginally inferior goal difference agonisingly prevent them from retaining the title and claiming a place in the Pyramid Play-Off last term. Their remarkable winning run of ten consecutive matches was the longest in the division.
The previous five clashes between the sides have produced a staggering 26 goals - all but three coming in favour of the Terrors.
The match will offer Arabs the first chance to catch a glimpse of their heroes in action since raising the cinch Championship trophy aloft on 3rd May.
