Dundee United FC Women are delighted to confirm that Katie Frew has become the latest to pen a part-time professional contract.
The 24-year-old defender, who moved to the club last summer, has penned a deal ahead of the season kicking off this coming weekend.
Frew, a right back by trade who can also play further forward, expressed her elation at being part of a club she feels is moving in the right direction.
“I’m absolutely delighted, I think the club and the women’s game is going in the right direction, and I’m glad to be part of it.”
“Pre-season has been exceptional. Although it’s been challenging, I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone progress over the last few weeks.”
Head Coach Suzy Shepherd believes Frew is a player who is always looking to improve and is keen to get going again this coming season.
“Katie is deserving of her contract, she’s a player who is always looking to learn and develop and gives 100% on and off the pitch. After our short time working together last season, I’m looking forward to working with her again this season.“
