Dundee United goalkeeper Jack Walton spoke to the broadcast media ahead of our William Hill Premiership clash with Rangers on Matchday 13.
Our number one discussed the squad's eagerness to return to action following the international break, moving level with Rangers with three points in Govan and having the chance to play at one of the biggest venues in the UK.
ON GETTING BACK TO BUSINESS AFTER THE BREAK:
We’re all looking forward to it. I don't think any of us really like the international breaks when we have a weekend without a game, so I'm just looking forward to getting back out there and having a game.
ON HAVING THE CHANCE TO GO LEVEL ON POINTS WITH RANGERS:
We go into every game trying to get three points. We know it's a difficult place to go. I've not been there myself yet and quite a few of the boys haven't been, but we've worked hard this week and we're set up to go there and try and get a positive result.
ON THE POTENTIAL OF LEAVING WITH THREE POINTS:
Why not? I think the pressure's on them at home, a club like Rangers expect to win every game. We've got a game plan that the Gaffer’s put together and we've worked hard on it this week and we're going to go there to try and get a positive result.
ON USING THE NEGATIVITY AT IBROX TO OUR ADVANTAGE:
They're your words! I'm not looking at other teams. We’ve got to concentrate on ourselves. We know it's a difficult venue, they're a good side, but when we played them here a couple of months ago it was a very close game and there wasn't much between us, so there's nothing saying that we can go there and have a close game again.
ON OUR PERCEPTION OF RANGERS CHANGING DUE TO OUR PROXIMITY TO THEM IN THE TABLE:
There's no easy game in this league, it doesn't matter who you play, each team has different strengths, but each team also has areas where we believe we can catch them out on them and try and get an advantage from that.
I think other people would say they've probably not started as well as they wanted to, and that's what we've got to try and go there and capitalise on.
ON ANOTHER CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH RANGERS:
All our games this season have been tight, I don’t think there's been a game where we've lost more by more than one goal, we've always been in the game.
We've got to try and go there and stay in the game for as long as possible
ON PLAYING AT IBROX FOR THE FIRST TIME:
As a player you always want to play at the biggest stadiums in front of the biggest attendances - I’m looking forward to that.
ON GETTING BACK INTO A RHYTHM AFTER THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK:
We don't really like the international break because it feels stop-start, but we've had a positive start to the season.
The Christmas period is coming up now where there's a lot of games, so we want to start with a positive result on Saturday.
ON RELISHING PLAYING AGAINST TOP-LEVEL OPPOSITION:
They're one of the best teams in the league, but if we can go there and show our qualities, then we can show that we can play against the best and get results.
It's a good challenge for us and we're all raring to go to try and go there and get a result.
ON RECHARGING OVER THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK:
That's the positive side of the international break. You can have a couple of days off to rest the body. We've had a few injuries, so it gives them a bit of time to get those boys back.
Over the festive period, there are so many games and it's a crucial part of the season, so we're all now working towards that and trying to pick up as many points as possible.
ON AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
Every team can improve, we know that.
We need to be more ruthless in both boxes, that's where the games are won or lost, so it's something that we work hard on.
