The Team Talk

Jim Goodwin made three changes to the tangerine ranks after coming out on the wrong end of last weekend's seven-goal clash at Fir Park.

Will Ferry was back from suspension with Academy graduates Kai Fotheringham and Miller Thomson also in from the start. David Babunski and Emmanuel Adegboyega dropped to the bench whilst Louis Moult missed out through injury.

Welcome news came in the shape of Ross Docherty who made the matchday squad.

Backs to the Wall

With a strangle-hold on possession early on, the visitors' first real chance of the encounter came just before the ten-minute mark as Reo Hatate dragged a shot wide of the far post as he broke into the United penalty area. Luke McCowan also went close with an arrowed effort that flew past the post as we limited Brendan Rodgers' side to shots from range.

It was a non-event in what remained in the first half, both sides taking time to settle into the swirling Dundee winds.

Finding our Feet

Less than a minute into the second half, Thomson had our first real attempt as he cantered forward before going it alone - but his tame effort was gathered comfortably by Kasper Schmeichel.

Glenn Middleton again called the Celtic shot-stopper into action as he read a loose pass and connected on the slide. Overstretching in the process, he was one of three changes as Luca Stephenson and Thomson also made way for Jort van der Sande, Kristijan Trapanovski and Docherty.

Kyogo, Adam Idah and Arne Engels all passed up chances with Jack Walton on hand to ensure our clean sheet.

A couple of corners and a late goal-mouth scramble as we searched for a winner paid no dividends as we took our second point off an Old Firm side this season.
