Today's clash between the young Tangerines with Celtic promises to be an exciting affair and will serve as a litmus test on how Malpas's U-21's are progressing. In an interview this morning Maurice stated: "Our last encounter with the Celtic side provided us with the worst result of the season when we were received a 0-5 mauling having fielded a much more experienced team than the one that will be facing the Parkhead Under-21's this afternoon. We will therefore be watching with intent how our very young team will cope this time round. The Celtic U-21's won the SPL Youth Under-21 League on Monday and it will be interesting to find out whether this will have inspired them even more or whether we will witness a decline in their motivation."
The United line-up will be as follows: Jarvie, Allum, Trialist, Trialist, McCracken, Reilly, Lilley, O'Brien, Paterson, Carson, McConalogue, Winters, as well as Fionda, McMillan,Ogunmade and Callaghan on the bench.
The match will kick off at 2.00pm at Tannadice Park.
