Manager Alex Smith is anticipating a tough contest with Hibernian tomorrow at Tannadice. He stated: "Tomorrow's match against Hibs at home is going to be very difficult - they have picked up lately under their new manager Bobby Williamson and I want to welcome him and his assistants to Tannadice in this new capacity. I also think it will be a harder game because of the new management team; they came here with Kilmarnock often enough and were always tough opponents - I don't see it being any different tomorrow."
In terms of the expectations from his own men, Smith maintained: "Our task tomorrow is to win the match in order to improve our league position and everybody is geared up for that. In addition, the game will also give us an ideal opportunity to field more of our younger players in the same vein as Stuart Duff and David Winters, players who have already played two or three matches on this level. Tomorrow, we will be seeking to introduce Stephen O'Donnell (pictured) on the bench and hopefully he will get the opportunity to come on and play for a part of the game. It is very important for Dundee United to continually introduce young players and to provide them with first team experience as early as possible. This will hopefully take them onto another level and help them to mature and prepare for next season."
