LILLEY TO GET UNDER-21 GAME

11th March 2002

After last week's accomplished display versus Dunfermline, U-21 Manager Malpas is looking for a repeat performance from his young team against Hearts tonight. "But this time", Maurice stressed, "we are determined to take the three points as well."

As to the starting line-up, he explained: "It is somewhat unfortunate that Stephen McGowan, probably our best player last week, will only feature as sub, but it is important that currently suspended Derek Lilley (pictured) maintains his match-fitness. On-loan Juventus striker Ronnie O'Brien, who scored a fantastic goal against Dunfermline last week, will also figure on the team sheet as will Sean O'Connor, recalled from Morton in view of the first team injury crisis. Apart from the aforementioned players, we will again be fielding a very young team and, in the light of our commitment and creativity shown against the Fifers last Monday, I feel very confident that we can make an impression and, hopefully, win - even against a strong Hearts side."

Supporters intending to watch tonight's U-21's action, please note that the match will take place at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling, with a 7.00pm kick-off.
