TOMMO ON THE BRINK OF SECOND CAP

Whilst Berti Vogts has not yet finalised his starting line-up for tonight's Scotland v Nigeria friendly at Pittodrie, the likelihood of Steven Thompson obtaining his second cap is strong. According to the new national team manager, Tommo is one three strikers he is intending to deploy up front. Thompson's chances are increased by Rangers winger Neil McCann being doubtful due to an ankle injury. The third in the race for a starting berth is Allan Johnston.

Amongst the confirmed starters tonight are Rab Douglas, Robbie Stockdale, Kevin McNaughton, Gareth Williams, David Weir, Christian Dailly, Stephen Crainey, Scot Gemmill.
