Two of the club's recent imports are pencilled in for top team starts when Hearts check in as weekend guests to Tannadice. Argentinians Gustavo Fuentes and Marcelino Galoppo, Hondurans Reynaldo Clavesquin and Francisco Ramirez and Uruguayan Carlos Marcora are all being considered by boss Alex Smith. But ruled out of his selection thoughts is Dave Hannah who has failed to shrug off the effects of a groin injury, while French defender Stephane Leoni is struggling with a thigh injury.
Boss Smith insists that he will not be taking unnecessary risks in his selection and has the boost of the returns to availability of both Stephen Wright and Jamie Buchan. Said Smith, "There is no way that I will be taking any gambles. Anyone who wins a place will do so on merit. What I will be insisting upon is that every single player displays the commitment expected of him. Concentration on organisation is a must in this one. It is high time that we started picking up points, especially here at Tannadice where we have to rid ourselves of the monkey on our backs over our home form."
