Argentine striker Beto Naveda could be set for a surprise return to action in Wednesday night's derby against Dundee at Dens Park.
Naveda has been out since twisting his knee against Rangers last month, but has impressed boss Alex Smith in training. He is unlikely to be considered for a derby starting place, but could be on the bench. "Beto has been involved with the group in training again and has worked very hard to get back fit. He has done well for us and has the kind of ability that can win a game."
United will be without suspended trio Alan Combe, David Partridge and Hasney Aljofree.
