ROBINSON BEING CONSIDERED

1st March 2001

United boss Alex Smith revealed on Thursday he is thinking of using loan signing Paul Robinson from the start in Saturday's clash with bottom club St Mirren.

Robinson, fixed up from Wimbledon until the end of the season, made his debut as a sub in the goalless draw at Kilmarnock last weekend and has impressed in training this week. "His pace could be important to us and he is definitely in my thoughts at the moment", said Alex.

Hasney Aljofree is making good progress after the knee injury that forced him to miss the Killie trip, but is not expected to be ready to face the Buddies.

David Partridge is back in training after a bout of illness, though having lost over a stone in weight, he will need time to build up his strength.
